Le poste

La mission :

The Embassy of Ireland is accepting applications for a 6-month internship (2 positions) based in Paris and beginning in August/September 2021. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 9 June 2021 (end of the day). The interns will mainly work alongside the embassy's press, EU, foreign policy and/or economic policy teams.
A minimum EQF level 6 qualification in an area relevant to the work of the embassy. A Bachelor's degree, French licence/licence professionelle, diplôme (all BAC+3)
o The ability to obtain a 'convention de stage'
o English (C2 level) and French (C1 level) with the ability to write accurately in English
o A good understanding of EU and international affairs;
o The legal right to reside in France

Shortlisted candidates will be asked about their educational experience, foreign policy initatives by Ireland or France and their interest in, and suitability for, interning at the embassy. Candidates are encouraged confirm the name of the institution which will issue your convention de stage.
The interviews will be in English/French remotely the week of 14 June 2021, preceded by exercises to test written and listening skills.
A monthly stipend is paid (currently EUR548 including Tickets resto vouchers) plus EUR37.60 in monthly travel costs (Navigo card). Interns receive 12 days leave
