Since 1995, ALPARC - the Alpine Network of Protected Areas, supports cooperation between the management teams of the protected areas of the Alpine arc for sustainable management respectful of natural resources, better promotion of the Alpine natural and cultural heritage, sustainable regional development and the safeguard of the link between Man, especially young people, and the natural mountain environment. The network plays a part in supporting innovative management practice, beyond administrative and language borders. We are currently looking for an intern in the field of regional development. The intern will work as a project assistant and take part in a 6-month work placement in our office in Chambéry (France). Working in close coordination with the project manager, the intern will support the ALPARC team in a range of project management and communication activities in particular in the frame of the project WeWild (awareness-raising in nature sports). Your profile - Degree in a field related to regional development, tourism, geography or communication. - Perfect command of English and mandatorily good command of two Alpine languages. - Good command of office and graphic design software (Adobe CS, Inkscape, etc., GIS is a plus) - Furthermore, you are dynamic, proactive and able to work both in team and independently - seek a concrete and rewarding work experience in a multicultural setting to complement your studies. - have a strong interest in nature conservation and international cooperation. - have a strong ability to find practical solutions for complicated tasks To apply Send us your application documents. 1) CV: European type only (Curriculum Vitae Europass) in English or French, with an evaluation of your language proficiency level. 2) Cover letter (1 page maximum) written in English.
